Informal fallacies

An informal fallacy differs from a formal one in that it if faulty in the content, or in the implied assumptions, rather than in the form of the reasoning.

An important aspect of informal fallacies is that they are more closely related to rhetoric fallacies. In fact, most rhetoric fallacies could – depending on the context – be understood as informal logical fallacies as well.
