Bandwagon fallacy
A variation of the appeal to false authority, whereby the “authority” in this case is a (real or supposed) majority of the population or, at the very least, a large number of people.
Thousands of satisfied customers use our product!
That’s good for the customer (and probably even better for the manufacturer), but it says little to nothing about whether this product is the right one for me.
