In a [[glossary:conditional|conditional]] statement (like: “if A, then B”), the clause expressing the //consequence//. In other words, the part after the “then”.
For example:
> //If// it rains [//then//] the road gets wet.
In this statement, "it rains" is the [[glossary:antecedent|antecedent]] and "the road gets wet" is the //consequent//.
